Computer 31

I still have 2 hours and a half to spend rotting in front of this computer. I wish I were home, watching TV and enjoying my solitary state. :/

Here I am yet again, making an effort to post words and sentences that make sense. Yes, I know you're tired of hearing this from me, but, the flesh-eating disease of writer's block already reached my pink, labyrinthine brain. Hence, I cannot do anything but type down random things that I'm thinking of at the moment.

It's official. I went through the hell-ish first month of college, unscathed and sane enough. This may sound cheesy, but I suppose I managed to prove something that's way beyond my ordinary human comprehension. Something that cannot be defined by my red-painted fingernails, as well as my blue frost-painted toenails. :]

I probably am the black sheep of all writers. I write in a very lame manner (very apparent in every post of this poor blog). I write only when told to do so. I write without much creativity in my words. I am an aspriring writer who doesn't do much to improve her so-called f*cked up writing. Told you, I am the black sheep, born to put shame on the reputation of every writer who lived, lives and will live.

Dang.

I don't even know how to speak of myself spontaneously and fluently. No wonder I always feel I don't deserve to be studying English Literature in the time ahead. I should have not enrolled myself to the Ateneo. I might, as well, escape and let nobody find out of my (permanent) hiatus as budding writer. Call me loser 'cause I am one. I am THE Loser. :[

I'm seeping through a collation of fiction penned by talented folks entitled "A Different Voice: Fiction by Young Filipino Writers". Having the chance and the motivation to read local writers through their "babies" are, I think, very random and rare. Most people are so caught up following the New York Times Bestseller trend of choosing books and novels, that we don't notice that we're letting cobwebs to form on the penned fruits of labor and creativity made by our local writers. I admit, I'm guilty of opting for American and British novels to read. That's why I came up with this decision to flick through this collection of short stories, for me be able to rediscover local writing talent (which is really superb) and to discover myself as someone who can write a beautiful mesh of words every time she forms sentences of substance and wordplay in the near future (hopefully).

Kalayaan

The nerve-racking freshman registration was long over, that is, for me. Many are still at it right at this very minute. (;

Buti na lang 111 ang random number ko, para maaga ang punta, maaga rin ang alis. [: Past 11 tapos nako. Roughly 3 tedious hours ng pag-upo, paglakad, pagpila, pagbayad ng matrikula, pag-akyat ng hagdan, pagpapalamig sa mga rooms dun at magsalita ng English na baku - bako. HAHAHAHA. XDD

Una, I'm still torn between Physics and ES. Kasi kung Physics, mapapagpatuloy ko ang legacy na naiwan saken ni Ms. Soriano.(: Pero pag ES, pinakamadali daw na yun na NatSci subject. Waaa. Hayaan ko na muna, may mga 18 hours pa ako para makapag-isip ng mabuti. Haha.(:

Second, feeling ko mababaliw ako bukas. Sa dami ng tao, sa mahal ng tuition, sa ganda ng umaga, sa dami ng pupuntahan. Buti malapit lang sa isa't isa yung mga buildings na kailangan kong puntahan bukas. At, pupunta pa pala ako sa Guidance Office at magpapasa ng application form para sa 2 gate passes na kailangan ko makuha.

Third, masaya siguro makita yung iba kong schoolmates na nababaliw din.(:

Ikaapat, sobrang maninibago siguro ako sa mga klase ng tao na makikita ko bukas. May mga konyo, normal na tao (kagaya ko? Haha.), geeks, scholars at kung anu-ano pang uri ng nilalang na posibleng mabuhay sa Ateneo. Cliche ang sasabihin ko pero, ito na talaga yung sinasabi nila na from all walks of life na ang mga makaksalamuha mo sa college.

Ikalima, tagaktak ang pawis ko bukas lalo na kung hapon pa ako matatapos.

At ang pinakaimportante sa lahat, ano kayang itsura ko sa ID? Hahaha. Yun na ung ID ko simula ngayon. Maygahd. Hehe.(: Wasted siguro ako dun.[;

I suppose I deserve a toast for thinking about updating this blog with something we can consider as sensible.

The thing is, I don't have anything to blabber. Ugh, talk about ironic.

Hm, let's just talk about going back to school. No, wait. Forget that one. Make it entering a new world - the world of college. If you're not an incoming freshman college and it just happened that you bumped into my poor blog, read on still. Hahaha. (Isn't it obvious that I'm taking desperate measures to clean up the cobwebs that formed over the past few months here in my blog? No? Good. On with the typing.)

I have a month left to get myself ready for college. Gah, can a 30-day preparation suffice for my need of some type of random reassurance that I'll be doing fine come June? I'm freaking out like hell inside this pink, void (almost) labyrinth enclosed in my skull which can actually pass for a brain. In other words, I'm utterly scared. That is, simply by the thought that I'll be entering college sooner than I expected.

If you're terrified by the drama, you may go.

Going back, I still think of myself as a senior high school student who happens to have graduated a month ago. You know, there's that conflict in which world you really belong to. I, for one, won't deem myself as a college student unless, of course, I'm already enrolled. Sigh. I suppose this is just one of the symptoms of wishing to be part of the college elite society. What d'you reckon?

Losing the sanity aside, I'm thankful that I'll be getting into a good university. Others say, including me, that the school doesn't have anything to do with your education since "The education a man ever gets is the education he gives himself." But delving deeper into the first statement (school doesn't have to blah blah), I should probably change my mind for just a bit. Getting into a good school is one of those essential things you have to take into account for a feasible promising future ahead. Thank you, Lord, for giving me the remarkable oppurtunity of attending the Ateneo.(:

I reckon that the Ateneo experience (in the near future) itself will douse the fear I'm going through at this very moment.
